It all started in 2014 when Tara decided it was finally time to act upon her desire to write picture books. She sent a first draft to Becky, her sister, for feedback. When Becky sent it back with major revisions, they decided to write as a team.

As kids, Tara and Becky lived in King of Prussia PA, Andover MA, Saratoga CA, and finally settled in Atlanta GA. They have two brothers Josh and Ryan.

Becky has always had a flair for the dramatic and loves all things entertainment—especially character-driven narratives. Becky was a casting producer for reality TV shows like NBC’s America’s Got Talent, ABC’s Extreme Makeover and E!’s The Simple Life in Los Angeles.

She has a drama degree from the University of Georgia – Go Dawgs!

She is currently a creative recruiter residing in Chicago, Illinois. She can be found going to the theater, eating too much sushi and spoiling her nephews. She is a member of SCBWI Illinois.

 

TARA LUEBBE  |  Tara Luebbe’s Bio:

Tara is a self-described “Picture Book Nerd.” In her previous life, she owned a kids’ toy and book store in Atlanta which was a catalyst for writing her own books. Her background is in retail buying and wholesale distribution.

She is a graduate of the University of Dayton – Go Flyers.

Tara loves Star Wars, and subversive picture books. She has three boys and a husband and lives in Fort Mill, South Carolina. She is an active member of SCBWI Carolinas.
